Daniel J. Suhr, CPA

Dan is responsible for the oversight of corporate and individual tax compliance and consulting services, and the identification and delivery of new ideas and planning opportunities for Szymkowiak & Associates. Dan has over 17 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services for large public companies, middle-market corporations and high net-worth individuals.

He specializes in manufacturing, consolidated tax returns, multi-state tax planning, FAS 109, and executive compensation. Dan is also responsible for several practice development matters, including marketing, human resources and training.

A 1993 summa cum laude graduate of SUNY Buffalo with a B.S. in Accounting, Dan completed the graduate tax certificate program at UB in 1999, and obtained his MBA from Canisius College in 2004. He was previously with a Big Four firm and has been with Szymkowiak & Associates since 2004.

Dan is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of CPAs, the Estate Analysts of Western New York, a board member of Algonquin Sports, on the Finance Council at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and an assistant coach for his daughter's softball team.
